that was an epic ride! and wow, i've never been so miserable on my bike as those last 25 miles in the downpour from vail pass. big props to us for finishing :)

Congrats to everyone for finishing an incredibly tough ride and surviving the nasty conditions at the end. Great job and I'm glad you had such a blast, its a truly epic and memorable experience! Such an awesome feeling of personal accomplishment when you cross the line!

Great review and congrats on completing the ride! Even better is the amazing kick at the end. Kudos on the strong finish in the rain, post-bonk and calorically deficient. Very, very impressive.
That was a ton of fun and I can't wait to do it all again with you guys...in ~360 days.

Great review of the Triple. I rode too but earlier before the weather. Parallel universe: www.grenoblecycling.com July 4, 2009 La Marmotte. I'm doubtful I could complete it and have done 14 Triples in the past 16 years.

google "la marmotte and the death ride" for another modest report from five years ago. The Triple is quite a bit higher in elev. than these two steep rides.

I've written to Team Evergreen to suggest they create a clearinghouse of links, but until them, am trying to accumulate as many as I can.
